  1. All personnel, including physicians, nurses and technicians, were given both written and visual training on the microbiological, epidemiological and clinical features of COVID-19 infection, diagnosis, treatment and prevention methods, and reporting of suspicious cases. It has been registered.

  7. It was ensured that the uniforms of the healthcare personnel directly involved in patient care were washed and changed daily.
  8. Physicians were allowed to wear uniforms and change them every day.
  9. It has been made compulsory to use protective gowns, masks, bonnets, glasses and gloves for healthcare personnel who are directly involved in patient care. In addition, a shielded face mask was provided and used.
  10. An environment suitable for social isolation was prepared during rest and meal times, and common salt shakers, jugs, water dispensers, etc. were removed.
  11. Hand sanitizers were placed in the dining room.
  12. It was ensured that the food distribution was made only by the kitchen staff.
  13. COVID-19 brochures and information letters from the Public Health unit were hung on both patient and staff boards and anywhere that can be seen in the center.
  14. Health personnel who are directly involved in patient care are not allowed to go out of the city except in compulsory cases.
  15. When patients come to the center for each session, fever is followed up, their complaints are questioned, those with fever, cough, etc. complaints are followed up and recorded.
  16. Relatives of the patients were called one by one and informed about the infection. They were asked to inform us in advance when they complained of fever, cough, and shortness of breath.
  17. Patients and their relatives were informed that it would be safer for them to come to dialysis by a private vehicle.
  18. A seating area was arranged at a distance of at least 1 meter in the waiting room.

  23. Half as many patients are transported in patient service vehicles. After the patients disembark, the interior of the vehicle is disinfected by the shuttle driver.
  24. Service drivers are also required to wear masks. Hand sanitizer is available in vehicles.
  25. Relatives of patients are prohibited from entering the dialysis rooms. In case of necessity, the short-term entrance is controlled by wearing masks and gloves.
  26. The breakfast, which is distributed during the dialysis of the patients, has been removed for the time being. It can only be given to those with DM and low sugar.
  27. If there was a patient with fever or respiratory distress, it was planned to be taken to the emergency room at the entrance and kept there.
  28. Information was given about the need to call 112 for suspicious patients.
  29. To our patients; It was informed that they can get help from 155 for the supply of medicine from the pharmacy or for those who cannot leave the house and those who do not have relatives, and this information was hung in visible places.
  30. UV fluorescent, which was activated at 24:00 at night and worked until 05:00 in the morning, was installed in the treatment rooms and made operational.
  31. Overshoes were placed at the entrance of the center and it was compulsory to wear them.
  32. Disinfection process was applied to remove the droplets in the walls, patient beds, cabinets, patient tables, nurse counter and air in the offices, dressing rooms, laundry, kitchen, toilets, waiting and treatment areas in the center, and disinfection with hydrogen peroxide was planned every evening for its continuity.
  33. Every day at the end of work, the whole center will be disinfected in this way and exit.
  34. All patients with fever, cough, shortness of breath or conjunctivitis were planned to be evaluated for coronavirus infection and to be on dialysis in the last session of the day until the infection was excluded.

  38. Gloves, long sleeved waterproof apron, cap, goggles, face shield and N95 mask were provided for the use of the personnel who will care for patients with definite or suspected COVID-19 infection.
